(A) We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and has absolute authority over the life of the Christian and the Church.
(B) We believe that God is revealed in the Bible as a Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit- three persons yet one God.
(C) We believe that God created the universe, the world and everything in it out of nothing.
(D) We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Son of Man. He is God in flesh yet truly God and truly man: two natures, divine and human, revealed in one person, Jesus Christ.
(E) We believe that all men and women are sinful and lost apart from God’s grace.
(F) We believe that men and women may be saved from the judgement and delivered from the bondage of sin to live victorious lives through faith in Jesus Christ who (i) obeyed God perfectly, (ii) died to make atonement for sin, (iii) physically rose from the dead, (iv) ascended to the right hand of the father, and (v) continues there to intercede for Christians as their great High Priest.
(G) We believe that men and women become Christians through the work of the Holy Spirit who indwells the believer at the point of commitment to Jesus Christ and works in their life from that time forward to make each Christian like Jesus Christ, which process is called sanctification.
(H) We believe that salvation is only possible through faith in Jesus Christ, which faith implies a turning away from all sin towards God.
(I) We believe that there will be a resurrection of the dead, and final judgement of all men and women by the Lord Jesus Christ.
(J) We believe that there are two ordinances of the Lord Jesus Christ, namely Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which are of perpetual obligation. Baptism being immersion of believers upon profession of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and a symbol of the fellowship of Christians in His death, burial and resurrection. The Lord’s supper is a memorial, until He comes, of the sacrifice of the body and the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is our doctrinal basis.
